A few weekends ago, I got the chance to visit one of my favorite flower sellers, 3 Porch Farm, on their open farm day. I got in the car with my friend Tasha and we made the 2 hour trek from Atlanta to the Athens area to go visit their little flower farm.
3 Porch farm sells mostly seasonal flowers at farmers markets, so it was great to peek into their hoop houses to see what they are currently growing. When I went to visit, the ranunculuses were mostly in bloom and some poppies were starting to emerge.
The farm is located just outside of Athens in a rural area with mostly other farms and small downtowns. It was so exciting to turn down the road into their little farm and see a lively little party with live music full of people. There was a guided tour where visitors could learn about the farm, and lots of little meandering paths to wander down. One little path housed a tiny cottage that looked like the most tranquil place to spend a weekend.
3 Porch Farm is located in Comer, GA, and hosts a yearly open farm day (usually towards the end of March). You can find their seasonal blooms, honey pops, and spice mixes at weekly farmers markets around the metro Atlanta area.
